No Nailbiters, plenty of offense define Week 4

The offense for a few teams really came alive in Week 4, as many games were decided early.

GAME 1-Machine v Outlaws.  This one started out fairly even with a lot of the credit to Warren Poh having an outstanding game in cage for the Outlaws.  Poh had a couple stuffs on the doorstep and some other great saves to keep this one close early.  Early in the 2nd half Henry Holden and Tyler Miller each put in their 2nd goal of the game for the Outlaws, to pull within 1, at 5-4.  But the Machine's balanced offensive attack took over from there.  Parker Whims completed his hat trick on a nice man up goal, and moments later fed Long Pole Chase Bunce who snuck around the cage on a slow break to surprise the D, and pretty much iced the game at that point.  Final was 10-5.  Whims led all scorers with 3 goals, and 3 other Machine players (Burns, Forsman, Rodrigues) had 2 goals.  Holden and T. Miller each had 2 for the Outlaws.  Poh had 12 saves for the Outlaws, and Luke Miller had 8 in the win for the Machine.

GAME 2-Bayhawks v Cannons.  This one was all Bayhawks from the beginning.  Josh Spain was able to put in one goal per half for the Cannons, but the Offense of the Bayhawks was just overwhelming in this one.  8 different players notched goals for the Bayhawks in the first half, compiling a 10-1 lead.  They didnt slow down much once the 2nd half started, as Matt Seligson completed his hat trick early in the 2nd half, finishing with a nice lefty off a fast break started by Jordan Gans.  Gans added a hat trick of his own in this one, including a nice BTB from about 10 yards out.  Will Hare led all scorers in this one though (4g) as the Bayhawks finished with a 16-2 victory.

GAME 3-Rattlers v Lizards.  Rattlers started off fast in this one.  Aidan Healy picked off a clearing pass, and assisted Chase Madrid to make it 2-0, and the Rattlers looked to be in control early.  But as they controlled the Time of Possession in the first half, they couldnt put the ball in the net.  Mikey Cerone put his team on his back, and the Lizards scraped their way back into this tough, hard fought game.  Cerone had 4 goals, including one gritty drive with 3 Defenders draped all over him.  Both goalies were impressive in this one (Edelson with 6 saves for the Lizards, Geoly with 8 for the Rattlers).  Healy added one in the 2nd half for the Rattlers, but it was too little as the clock wound down on a 7-3 victory for the Lizards.

GAME 4-Hounds v Nationals.  Similar to Game 3 on Sunday, the Hounds got off to a quick start in this one.  Matt Heintzen controlled the Faceoffs early and scored a couple quick goals to give the Hounds an early lead.  But the Nationals played steady, and won the all-important ground ball war in this one.  The Hounds had a tough time getting (keeping) offensive possessions, and the Nationals took advantage with a steady and balanced attack.  Ben Hastings added one late, but Hans Von Clemm, Anatole Colevas, and Josh Spain all chipped in a pair of goals as the Nationals pulled away late to win 7-4.
