Stage set for some interesting Rematches

The FallBall Regular Season came to an end Sunday with some good play on the final day.

GAME 1-Once again, Team 1 Outlaws was involved in one of the more exciting games of the day.  Good Defense and Goaltending defined the first half of this one.  Team 6 Hounds churned out a few nice goals and Matt Ford pitched a first half shutout in the Goal for the Hounds, who led 3-0 at halftime, and seemed to be in control.  But momentum changed quickly, as the Outlaws scored 5 unanswered to start the 2nd half, including 2g from John Michael Raasch.  They extended the lead to 7-4 on a pair of Michael Cerone goals, to withstand a late surge by the Hounds. A bounce shot by Sam Isola with just under a minute to play made it 7-6, but the Outlaws controlled the ensuing faceoff and thats how it ended.  Isola, Christian, and Ben Hastings each chipped in 2 goals in the losing effort.

GAME 2-This game was all Team 2 Bayhawks in the first half.  Gen Murphy started it off, scoring 2 of the first 3 goals, and the Bayhawks seemed to be rolling.  But Will Kittler scored the first goal for the Team 5 Rattlers, who put up a fight in the 2nd half.  Jordan Gans solid play at the midfield, and Kittlers hat trick (Despite playing D most of the 1st half) helped the Rattlers make a game of it, pulling within one.  But a short bench and some key injuries left them just a bit too outnumbered against the undefeated top seed, and the game finished 7-6 in favor of the Bayhawks.

GAME 3-Another lopsided affair on the scoreboard, though the Team 3 Cannons gave a pretty good effort in this one.  This game was marked by some physical and aggressive play, but the Team 7 Nationals had too much firepower.  Adam Stockford led all scorers with his Hat Trick, and the Nationals D was dominant, in the 10-0 win.

GAME 4-This was another hard fought game that could possibly be rematched in the playoffs.  Connor McGannon had a day, with 4 goals for the Team 8 Machine.  But Andrew Seaman answered the call with 4 of his own for the Team 4 Lizards, including the final 3 to put it away as the game ended 9-6 in favor of the Lizards.

The stage is set for some exciting playoff matches, we look forward to seeing you out there!!
