Some great action and last minute finishes mark first day of Fall Ball League

Thanks to all of you for making the first day of Fall Ball a great one!! There was some solid caliber play throughout the day. The first two games were filled with some great action, though the scores were a bit lopsided.

GAME 1: Team 1 ran into a challenge vs Team 8. They hung tough, but Team 8 dominated the faceoff possessions in the 2nd half and pulled away for an 11-4 victory.

GAME 2: Alex Lopez controlled most of his faceoffs for Team 7, and the Time of Possessi on seemed pretty even in this game, but the team couldnt seem to find the net. Partly due to some off cage shots and largely due to some great goalie play by Team 2 goalie Tyler Valenti, who came up with a goal-saving kick save on the very first possession. Score ended up 10-0, but I think it was a bit closer than that.

GAME 3: The final two games both came down to some exciting finishes. Team 6 was down 5-2 at the half to Team 3, but Ben Hastings Hat Trick helped team 6 pull ahead 6-5 late in the game. Team 3 didnt give up though. Drew Chalmers provided some offensive pressure, and Team 3 attacked with a barrage of shots in the last 2 minutes. Team 6 held strong, but couldnt quite clear the ball, and the barrage finally led to a game tying goal with only TWO seconds left, as the game ended 6-6.

GAME 4: In similar fashion, the final game of the day was back and forth, with Team 4 pulling out to an early lead, team 5 coming back and leading by 2 wit h a few minutes left. Andrew Seaman won the last two faceoffs for team 4, and buried a last minute goal to tie it up 8-8.
