And Over 20 Graduating Seniors Planning to Play Next Year.....

Team NorCal Lacrosse is thrilled to report that over 90 Team NorCal men and women alumni are playing college lacrosse in 2023 at over 50 schools across the country.  They are playing at Division 1, 2, 3 and NAIA/MCLA schools.

Adding to the tradition, over 20 current TeamNorCal graduating High School seniors are planning to play lacrosse next year at their schools.

In 2023, there are many outstanding alumni who have played major roles on their college teams.

  • Over 20 Team NorCal alumni played for their schools in the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League playoffs - the MCLA Men's Divison which covers  Northern and Central California and Nevada.
  • 5 of our alumni were named to the WCLL All-Star teams, including Class of 2021 Ryan McJanet, who was named First Team in D-1 on Defense while playing for Stanford.
  • Will Thomas, Class of 2021 and a midfielder at UCSB, played an important role in helping his team take the WCLL Men's title, and earn a berth in the National Championships which start next week, scoring a critical goal in the semi-finals.
  • Class of 2021 Trevor Douglis, playing for the University of Utah,  followed up on his stellar freshman year performance, where they won the D2 National Title in Division 2, and was one of the leading scorers nationally in Division 1 MCLA this season, scoring 40 goals.
  • Another Class of 2021 alumni, Chris WIlk,  was the leading scorer for the #11 ranked nationally Northeastern Huskies, with 32 goals to his credit, leading his team to a berth in the MCLA National Tournament.

Our graduating senior men and women will be attending a variety of great colleges and universities, and playing lacrosse at D1, D2, D3 and MCLA levels again this year. We are especially happy to see our women seeing such interest in their talent at the college level including Division 3 schools such as Smith College, Vassar, Chapman, and Occidental.
