Colleen and I are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Team NorCal Management team and our newest Director - Shane Winter. Shane will be our Director of Boys' Lacrosse, responsible for our Boys travel teams from Youth through High School. He will also take on a role as our Head of Operations over the course of the next few months. 

Shane is originally from San Antonio, Texas, where he was a 3-time All-State, 4-time Texas Top 99 player at Texas Military Institute. Shane was rewarded with a college scholarship to play NCAA DII Lacrosse at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. At NDNU, Shane was a 4 year starter, 2 year captain and led the league his senior year in caused turnovers. 

During his time in California, Shane spent the better part of the last 10 years coaching for youth and high school programs for Boys and Girls programs. Currently he is the Head Coach for Boys' Lacrosse at Valley Christian High School in San Jose. In the past, he has been involved with a number of local programs including the Alameda Attack and Menlo Atherton Grizzlies; high schools including Menlo Atherton Girls High School, and the Palo Alto HS Boys' Varsity team; and travel programs ADVNC and 650 Lacrosse. He is also very active in helping manage the Palo Alto Ducks adult men's team. 

When he's not coaching, he's the official DJ for the University of California. You can catch him on the field playing music for the football games, basketball games, volleyball games, and gymnastics meets. 

While Shane will oversee and help coach all our Boys teams, he will take a direct head coaching role with our Boys HS Elite team, joining Brent Tovrea and Jonny Glazier. 

As we continue to grow and expand, it is critical we add leadership that helps us scale and deliver great programs for our players and families. Since Colleen's arrival 3 years ago, our Girls program has become one of the largest and most successful in California. We expect great things from Shane, and we welcome him to NorCal Nation!
