Youth Sports are Back! Over 1,000 Campers Took the Field and Had a Blast!

SUMMER WRAPUP

We want to thank you for joining us in what we all considered to be an extremely successful summer!  Our 9 summer day camps broke all our prior attendance records.  The best news is we were committed and consistent in following Health Guidelines,  and we had a perfect safety record - no cases of COVID-19!  We were both smart and perhaps a bit fortunate as well.  We hosted over 1,000 kids this summer between camps and SummerBall (we may have been the largest day camp provider in all of Northern California if my sources are correct) and have provided a data point that suggests we can intelligently manage this outbreak, and give kids the chance to be outdoors and participate in athletics without risking their health.

COVID 19 UPDATE ON ALL 2020 SUMMER CAMPS

OUR PALO ALTO CAMPS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY SANTA CLARA AND PALO ALTO AND WILL START JUNE 8

FIRST 4 CAMPS HAVE SOLD OUT: LIMITED SPACE IN REMAINING CAMPS IN JULY AND AUGUST

We are all hopeful that we can return to some kind of normal throughout this summer.  We will sponsor as many of our traditional summer day camps as we can, obviously subject to state and local guidelines.   We want to do our best to give kids a chance to get back on the field.

Governor Newsome just announced California Counties can move to Stage 3 - so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Santa Clara County has revised its SIP effective June 5th, and specifically has allowed SummerCamps, under specific conditions.

There are many ways in which we will modify our social and camp behavior to address the public health issue.   Among the hygiene and safety issues would most likely include 1) Daily non- contact temperature checks for all campers, 2) possible limits on size for all camps, 3) no shared food or drink available at camps, 4) separation of camps into two or more distinct camps, with limited shared activities (boys and girls camps kept on separate fields all day with separate check-in and check-out,  5) all the well understood behaviors we have learned in this crisis - hand washing, access to disinfectant, regular cleaning of all surfaces, and more., and 6) We may modify the camp curriculum to reflect recommendations fo the US Lacrosse Safe Return to Play Committee.

We have kept our current schedule on the calendar, we plan to start the week of June 8th, and will ramp up substantially in July and early August.   There may be changes in the schedule, that are beyond our control, but we will keep this schedule up to date promptly if any chances are made.

If we are unable to host a camp that you have signed up for or if you feel uncomfortable for any reason, you will receive a FULL refund.
